CensusPlus
CensusPlus Server was a SYBASE database with STF1A and
STF3A data from the 1990 Census of Population and Housing,
FBI crime statistics, Glenmary Research Center religious
affiliation information, National Climate Data Center
weather information and a cross-reference between census
tracts and block groups and nine-digit ZIP codes.
Procedures were included to add your own data.
CensusPlus Client allowed you to search the CensusPlus
Server for areas that meet demographic criteria.You could
combine multiple demographic criteria into a single
document with Boolean and relational operators and
univariate statistics; filter based on quantities or
percentages of the population with a specified attribute;
specify geographic ranges by name or as a circle or
rectangle around a point; and save demographics and
geographic documents as files to mix and match.
Context-sensitive help and a glossary were included. The
StarterKit included one CensusPlus Client license, one
CensusPlus Server license, state census data for the U.S.
and detailed census and postal cross-reference data for
Lake County, Illinois.
