SkewT
SkewT was a NeXTStep application that allowed pilots,
meteorologists and weather aficionados to analyze
atmospheric parameters such as temperature, moisture, wind
vector and other stability factors. SkewT was based on the
standard skew-i/log-p diagram. Grids such as moist adiabats
and mixing ratio lines were layered and could be
dynamically switched on or off to avoid screen clutter.
Daily weather data, collected by weather balloons
worldwide, was available through WeatherLabs' WeatherNOW
real-time weather database.
