CheckSum was a program for the single user or small business owner who had basic accounting needs. CheckSum tracked expenses, income, property and cash and provided Income Statements and Balance Sheets. CheckSum balanced your checkbook and prints checks.

CheckSum provided users with a system for managing all their various accounts (such as cash, checking, savings, credit card, property and equipment) and the ability to consolidate them into a complete financial picture, either as a Balance Sheet or a period sensitive Income Statement.

CheckSum also provided the ability to create multiple layers of categories through which you could analyze expenditures for tax or budgeting purposes.

CheckSum provided many time-saving features, such as automatic transfers between accounts, fast-key category input, memorized transaction for recurring entries and quick check printing,

CheckSums input screen was as easy to use as a checking account register but provided users with the data that could both inform and guide their financial decisions.
