Light Pen and Internal Interface System
Design Technology's Light Pen and Internal Interface System allowed you to input data through the CRT. The interface was either an external box or an internal board and driver/installation software. Pens came in various designs and styles, including stainless steel, anodized aluminum (any color), and plastic-sheathed, with either a nosetip switch or side switch you would click with your index finger. Pens and boards could be purchased separately. Single-piece pen holders were also available for light pens or bar code readers.
