CODY

CODY, was a hardware option for the Screen Machine II and Movie Machine Pro. It had realtime hardware compression based on an M-JPEG algorithm for complete video sequences. The compression ratio could be controlled between 1:16 and 1:120 by the software to get the best results in resolution and frame rate for your system. CODY allowed you to do nonlinear video editing directly on the hard disk without losses. Only professional studios could afford this feature.

CODY was bidirectional, which means you could also play back movies through this board. Using it together with a Movie Machine Pro, you could even record the movie to a VCR again.
