SoundBursts Digital Sound Collections for NeXTStep computers were the ultimate for NEXTSTEP sound enhancement. SoundBursts allowed you to enhance your NEXTSTEP program or multimedia presentation with the impact of high-quality sound. Each SoundBursts collection included 12 disks (an average of 125 sound files) of professionally recorded sounds.
Each package included BIGplay, a sound playing application, SndCompress, a sound compress/ decompress tool and three UNIX sound scripts. A 90-page hardcopy manual was included with derailed instructions on how to use SoundBursts with many commercial, shareware and public domain NeXTStep applications. SoundBursts could be added to your next presentation to dazzle your audience; added to your programs to give them that last bit of flare they need; added to other applications such as Rhythm King and SoundHouse; or used for your other musical endeavors.
SoundBursts Effects Collection included a total of 121 sounds, including: GlassCrash, BeepLong, Kiss, Thud, BabyCryLong, GunShot, BabyNoise3, PhoneRing, ZipUp, WomanLaugh, Helicopter and much more. SoundBursts Percussion Collection included a total of 135 sounds, including BassDrum2, KickDrumI, Brush1, OrchcstraHit, PatternTrumpetSolo, PatternDrumBlues3, CymbalCrash, GtrBassSlapHit and many more.
