Eloquent
Eloquent combined e-mail and news in a single program that supported NeXTmail and MIME formats. With MIME, the Internet standard for multimedia e-mail, messages containing files, formatted text, graphics, and sound could be exchanged with MIME users on non-NEXTSTEP platforms.
Eloquent also has advanced mail features, such as allowing you to set up rules for distributing incoming messages to different mailboxes. With Eloquent's mailbox options, you can automatically print, resend, or reply to messages delivered to a mailbox.
Eloquent could retrieve mail from a local file or an IMAP server. It could also access remote mailboxes through an IMAP server. Eloquent reads and writes NeXTmail and Berkeley mailbox formats.
