GCS DataNet
GCS DataNet was a data-driven, user-friendly healthcare solution based on NEXTSTEP. It takes full advantage of the image processing, voice mail, windowing operating environment, and database capabilities of the NeXTStep environment.
The LIM (Laboratory Information Management) module directly captured analytic data from laboratory instruments, including Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrum and used bar codes to keep track of specimens with precision.
The SoftPath module was an anatomic pathologist tracking system. Text search capabilities and word processing interface were built in for dynamic decision making and report generation. SNOMED, CPT, CAP automatic coding was provided to meet the standard of the American
Pathologist Association.
The ForenCIS module was a multimedia solution for medical examiners and scientific forensic investigation. ForenCIS kept track of a wide variety of evidences in text, voice and image formats to provide a complete DecisionTree technology.
GCS also provided custom system analysis and design services to healthcare clients.
