Dialer
Dialer was a NeXTStep Services application that allowed you
to use your Hayes-compatible modem as a phone dialer. With
Dialer, you simply highlighted a telephone number on your
screen and press one of three keys to dial Dial Direct,
Dial on an Outside Line, or Dial Long Distance; then pick
up the handset and begin your call.
Dialer worked with any application or file, such as
telephone books, card files, mail messages and many more.
All dialing codes could be tailored to your telephone
system. Dialer interfaced seamlessly with BenaTong's wywo
("while you were out") network messaging system.
